BENSAAD Abderrahmane

University Professor & Certified Auditor

Professor of Higher Education, researcher and expert in economics and finance, with an integrated academic and professional career spanning more than fifteen years in the fields of monetary policy, financial stability, banking finance, financial governance, accounting and auditing. He has held the rank of Professor of Management Sciences since 2021 and obtained the Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) in Management Sciences, specialization Finance and Money, from the University of Algiers 3, where he also earned his PhD in the same specialization. He has led and participated in several national research projects (PRFU and CNEPRU), including a project on the challenges facing the Algerian banking system in the context of international transformations, a project on the mechanisms of financial stability in the era of globalization, as well as an ongoing research project on the financing of start-ups and their role in economic development. He is a permanent member of the research laboratory “Globalization and Economic Policies” and a member of academic and pedagogical bodies, including the Doctoral Training Committee and the Scientific Committee of the Faculty of Economic, Commercial and Management Sciences. In the field of higher education and capacity building, he supervises teaching and academic mentoring at all levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Magister and PhD). He has also held several academic and administrative positions, including Master’s Program Coordinator, Head of Distance Learning (E-Learning), Director of Studies, and currently Chair of the Local Committee for Institutional Visibility and Ranking. He is actively engaged in scientific research through the publication of peer-reviewed articles in national and international journals addressing issues related to monetary policy, banks’ capital structure, Islamic finance, and financial stability in emerging economies, using quantitative approaches and econometric models. He has also participated in numerous national and international academic conferences and contributed to scholarly debates on the reform of financial and banking systems. In parallel with his academic career, he has solid professional experience as a Certified Statutory Auditor, accredited by the National Accounting Council (Ministry of Finance). He has also previously worked in strategic public institutions, including the banking sector, local authorities, and the national statistical system, which has enabled him to develop an in-depth understanding of the functioning of financial and public institutions.
