Assistant Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Zineb Harfouche is a distinguished mathematician specializing in probability and statistics within the field of Mathematics and Computer Science (MI). Since 2023, she has held the position of Assistant Professor (Class B) of Mathematics at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Commercial Sciences and Management Sciences, University of Algiers 3, Algeria. In 2022, she earned her PhD with distinction from the University of Bejaia, where she conducted in-depth research at the Applied Mathematics Laboratory between 2018 and 2022. Her doctoral thesis, entitled “Estimation and Approximation Methods for the Analysis of Classical Risk Models,” reflects her expertise in areas such as probability and statistics, extreme value theory, stochastic processes, and inventory management models. Dr. Harfouche’s contribution to research is also highlighted by numerous publications in renowned international journals, showcasing her work in nonparametric and semiparametric estimation, numerical methods, optimization, and various other branches of mathematics.
