PHD

Bilal Merabet was born on April 7, 1986, in Constantine, Algeria. He is a lecturer in the "A" category of the Department of Financial Sciences, Faculty of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences, University of Algiers 3. He is currently pursuing a professorship. In 2023, he obtained his habilitation (university qualification), and in 2019, he earned a PhD in Economics, specializing in Finance and Banking, from the University of Algiers 3, defending his dissertation entitled "The Impact of Foreign Direct Investment on Economic Growth." In 2016, he obtained a Master's degree in Economics, specializing in Financial Markets and Banking, from the University of Algiers 3, defending his thesis on "The Impact of Macroeconomic Indicators on the Performance and Efficiency of Financial Markets in Arab Countries." In 2014, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Algiers 3, specializing in Money, Finance, and Banking. His thesis was entitled "Mechanisms of Central Bank Supervision of Commercial Banks." He previously studied at the Higher School of Commerce in Algiers and worked at the Central Bank of Algeria (Bank of Algeria) in the Directorate of Foreign Trade. The researcher has participated in numerous national and international conferences, both within Algeria and abroad, and has published several scientific articles in indexed national journals as well as in various international journals. He currently holds the position of Head of the Department of Financial Sciences at the University of Algiers 3.
